Was out with my secondary close friend yesterday nite... Hmm... a friend for erm 11 years? We hardly catch up ever since i went over to aussie for studies... "Requested" to meet up since last week... We are still behaving the same like secondary school times but with more maturity... Due to his heavy work load, met him about 8.30pm at city hall and went over to swensens at suntec city for our dinner... thinking about having ice cream for the desert (slurps!...)...
Thinking about to go for a drink since i had not drink for quite a while... Paulaner was suggested... Mid way thru the dinner hmmm... another idea popped up! KTV!!... Been wanting to have one for quite a while... Both of us had no objections... deserts are forgotten... Reach marina's kbox @ about 9.15pm and our package allowed us to sing till erm... 3am? Was thinking of leaving at 12 to catch the last bus home...
Anyway... I love KTV but erm... i guess i still prefer to sing with old secondary school friends as most of them knew cantonese songs of my "era" (reminds how old i was, drats!), more of the same "frequency"... The common favourite songs between us are classic old songs from Jacky Cheung and Eason Chan... Well known songs from William Su, Cao Ge as well as Li Sheng Jie were also sung... Got ourselves killed when we sang 背叛, scream till our throat bust and found out that the time was only just 10pm... just 45mins into our session, drats!... I tried Eason's 十面埋伏 shortly and found out that my voice is half gone and needed some songs which require to "talk" in order to regain some voice...
Went toilet and heard Shin's 一了百了 and wanted to give it a shot... Wha lauz... my comment a crazy song, no need to mention wat happened to my voice... but the song is a erm shiok hehe... Also selected some 80's oldies which seldom ppl are aware off from Danny Chan's 今宵多珍重, 一生何求 and 深愛著你 (very tough song...) . Even my secondary school friend (he was from hk last time) had not heard some of these oldies before hehe...
Time flies... it was 2.30 am then as we finished our last song from shin, 世界末日... Yeah 5 hours of KTV fun for just 2 person, averages up to 20-30 songs per person! It was a great outing as we have the same frequency as in appreciating the songs that we sang... Before we left, we told each other we would wanna have more in the future... If Bro from Hk could join us, it will be really good...
