Life Saver... I am one... :)

Was thinking about going to KTV again... but my sec school mate who is on off needs to be on MC... Plan was postponed :(...
Anyway, i still took my half day leave to relax abit... Office environment is getting horrible as in very sianz, maybe its because i am going for my holis soon...
Anyway went to HSA and donate blood...
Todae is my third time and HSA celebrates xmas too by giving a Santa Claus Sponge for me to squeeze while donating blood...

I was also given a collar badge, which have my blood type on it... I think this is just for those blood donors who had donated 3 times...

Gotta keep myself fit, in order for me to continue to give blood.... ~

Warm listening environment...

This is wat i usually do when i am into serious music listening...
In the day / nite, i will cover the windows with curtain and switch on the orangie warm energy saving light (I am GREEN!!!) to create the "feel"... This is how the "feel" looks like...~

The warmth of my room...

Just my system...

My TT, spinning....!

Gotta keep my Dorian stationary, in order to have a sharp shot...
Here's my Dorian picking up signals...

Hmmm... Actually i was just having fun with my new lens... So how sharp was it? Here is the crop of the 4th picture in actual pixels / size...

So is this sharp? Judge it urself bah... :)

K fun 天 2...

One month after the first session, we had another one on wed... TC was busy and arrive at bugis at about 9... hmmm does that smells like its another cheong until 2 am session? We finished dinner and went into the ktv (forgotten its name, anyway i dun really like the ambience there...) opposite of bugis ans was told that we are allowed to sing for 5 hours. We told each other we will finish the session at 11 plus to catch the last bus home as we gotta work tomorrow...
Before we knew it it was 3 hours into the session (time flies when u enjoyed urself)... so we just stayed on and complete the 5 hours session haha... Which means only 3 hours of sleep before work... But loads of work to clear which caused me to work for 8 hours continously with insufficient sleep and time flies too when u are really busy...
Anyway i think will want a session which will not be so siong for us the next time when we go singing...

Company Family Day...

Hmm... Todae no worrrkkkk!!! Shiok man... was thinking about going to Downtown east early (as in 10am) in the morning for family day... Then! called up the ticket holder for the theme park and he told me... hmmm u wanna come so early? I was like huh (no need to go so early meh)??
Anyway called my kaki, ah koh and told him not to go too early and we shud go and bowl so planned to meet him at 3pm... Anyway, before that i went down to adephi... Went to NDV to get back my Michael Ruff record and was so pissed off and lost when he claimed that he did not took it and even asked me if i had brought it back home... After searching for a while he found it and he hadn't flatten it... grrr... so i demand a new copy... which i got it... but i am still not very happy with his service attitude...
Got 2 more new albums to play! Firstly, Led Zeppelin, initially C.F told me i dun looked like tat type which listen to this kinda hard rock... he then played it on his system and let me tried out... Ok... i love it... 100 bucks fly liaoz... 2nd album was eagles, hell freezes over... highly recommended by my vinyl kakis...
Running late as it was 3.30 already... took mrt to lavender station to meet koh for bowling... We headed to downtown east and played 3 games there... He was good~ taught me how to spin the ball hehe... finally the way i play got a bit of standard liao... need more practice though...
Went for dinner... tok cock sing song with colleagues and went home with my lps... Listened to the Eagles album shiok... Erm Michael Ruff again.... jump needle... sigh... dun noe wats the problem... dun wanna go back to that shop liaoz... Waiting for the weekend to open my Led Zeppelin album... droolzzz...

K fun 天...

Was out with my secondary close friend yesterday nite... Hmm... a friend for erm 11 years? We hardly catch up ever since i went over to aussie for studies... "Requested" to meet up since last week... We are still behaving the same like secondary school times but with more maturity... Due to his heavy work load, met him about 8.30pm at city hall and went over to swensens at suntec city for our dinner... thinking about having ice cream for the desert (slurps!...)...
Thinking about to go for a drink since i had not drink for quite a while... Paulaner was suggested... Mid way thru the dinner hmmm... another idea popped up! KTV!!... Been wanting to have one for quite a while... Both of us had no objections... deserts are forgotten... Reach marina's kbox @ about 9.15pm and our package allowed us to sing till erm... 3am? Was thinking of leaving at 12 to catch the last bus home...
Anyway... I love KTV but erm... i guess i still prefer to sing with old secondary school friends as most of them knew cantonese songs of my "era" (reminds how old i was, drats!), more of the same "frequency"... The common favourite songs between us are classic old songs from Jacky Cheung and Eason Chan... Well known songs from William Su, Cao Ge as well as Li Sheng Jie were also sung... Got ourselves killed when we sang 背叛, scream till our throat bust and found out that the time was only just 10pm... just 45mins into our session, drats!... I tried Eason's 十面埋伏 shortly and found out that my voice is half gone and needed some songs which require to "talk" in order to regain some voice...
Went toilet and heard Shin's 一了百了 and wanted to give it a shot... Wha lauz... my comment a crazy song, no need to mention wat happened to my voice... but the song is a erm shiok hehe... Also selected some 80's oldies which seldom ppl are aware off from Danny Chan's 今宵多珍重, 一生何求 and 深愛著你 (very tough song...) . Even my secondary school friend (he was from hk last time) had not heard some of these oldies before hehe...
Time flies... it was 2.30 am then as we finished our last song from shin, 世界末日... Yeah 5 hours of KTV fun for just 2 person, averages up to 20-30 songs per person! It was a great outing as we have the same frequency as in appreciating the songs that we sang... Before we left, we told each other we would wanna have more in the future... If Bro from Hk could join us, it will be really good...

Bo Liao Weekend Gone Within 72 Hours...

Friday! Skipped soccer because of swollen right toe... hoping the swelling will subside in time for ascendas cup next week... Well i think i will still play la haha... Went to Adephi on friday to get my Michael Ruff LP to flatten, the LP was warp on a single side hence on one side the music "skips"... grr... Will collect it next weekend... Hope the music will not be distorted from this lp...
Anyway went over to JR's place and managed to have a chance to listen to his new toys he is selling... Could hear the difference straight away when i asked him to play Stimela by Hugh Masekala... The speed of his phono stage was obviously faster though its using tube... More details could be heard too... May be due to his higher end living voice speakers and maybe kondo amps doing the trick... Anyway... listen to Jazz at the Pawnshop Limestones Blues... Haven't heard it that fast and quick before... Ride Cymbals from the percussion and Xylophones appears to be more 3D like compared to mine... Will like to bring the phonostage home and test if it is this component of the hifi that is doing all this trick... grr...
New Amps from Da Vinci costing 50k from what i got to know from him and some rich guy ordered without even listening.... Gosh! I know its good... but erm does the sound really suit u? Well anyway... if i am rich till that stage and with the money with no place to spend... I might do the same too hehe...
Enuff of self poisoning... Sat was bored..... Slept till 11am... Woke up... eat some cookies wanna go out and it rained! Go to bed at 2pm and sleep till 5 plus... What a lazy day...
Sunday... Went out for lunch... Sushi treat from Granny... but i dun really had appetite though... Planning to go SLS... but rained started pouring, so went to Marina Square --> Suntec --> Bugis --> SLS and back to Bugis again on foot in the rain... Grr.... Getting drench is a good feeling at times ya.... hehe...
Darn tomolo still gotta work... Grrr...

Little update... ~

Lots happened... Got my desktop fixed but at a price (grrrr...)... Tried transferring to another department which did not take place in the end... but overall i am glad that i am finally able to focus on my work with the transfer saga which i describe as "ronaldo going over to real madrid" over... haha...

Last friday was national day celebration... joined the DL group for soccer at CCK stadium home to SAFFC, wha all i can its damn far lor... Anyway nice to play with different style of players but i am still aggressive always wanting to net goals if i have a chance... Ended up having a swollen right toe which i had previously injured years ago where i fell and knock it against a lamp post! Yeah lamp post, that one took me months to recover... This time round i injured that poor little toe while i was trying to shoot, kicking it against the street soccer court flooring... grrr...

Managed to sell my extra P35 mobo too... Will try to remove water cooling equipment from my TJ07 casing and sell them all off for a cheap cheap price... Maintaining the water cooling set up can be quite a hassle, yeah time consuming... Hope to get 3-4 pieces of powerline adapters for my house network at this end of the month pc fair... Want more lps to enjoy too...

Hifi Setup...

Finally a little update... been busy trying to tidy up my room and arranging my stuff... Weekend is too short la... Anyway the first pic below shows my hifi and video setup... Ya, my new rack and turntable!!! :) Top, my turntable, 2nd level, my amp, 3rd cd player and lastly my ps2 and pc occupies the bottom rack...
The 2 gray patches behind the speakers are the sound absorbers, had got some corner buster set up too which is not shown... Sigh still abit messy will try to tidy up soon...
Another view of my setup...

Firstly introducing my hifi rack which i had waited for 1 and a half months for its arrival... Special order, dark stain thats why it too so long to come hehe... I purposely match the dark stain with the chrome aluminum bars which made it looked good and outstanding hehe... Tada! Finite Elemete Pagode! Which is made in Germany...
Now my turntable from Acoustic Signature, Final Tool MKII with Herbie's Turntable Mat (circle white and black in colour) and some vinyl accessories at the side... This turntable weighs a ton! About 28kg total... heavy... Wondered how the rack tahan its weight...
Another view of the TT...
Now next Lyra Phono Cartridge, Dorian, stunning red in colour with protection on... Mounted on a SME 309 tonearm which is blurred at the background... My Dorian with out protection... :)
My Dorian at work!!! Picking out signals from the grooves... Think it was Jazz at the Pawnshop LP... The stylus is so thin so fragile... breaking it will cost another few hundred bucks (please don't!)... The power supply for the TT motor (left) and Dynavector P-75 mkII phono stage (right) at the side of the rack on a solid wood chopping board...
My Lavardin IT integrated amp which i had introduced in my previous post sitting nicely on the rack... :)
My Vimark CD player... Seldom will i touch this new guy since i got my TT, will use this player when i wanna listen to new cantonese pop songs which are seldom available on vinyl... but i still needa find time to run in... hehe...
Thats all for my new "toys"... As a newbie audiophile will like to recommend some vinyls... First up Jazz at the Pawnshop, ya old audiophiles will find this album boring but i had listen to it upteen times on cd and now on vinyl, everything sounded more 3D and life like...
Another album which cannot be missed... Hope by Hugh Masekela... Wonderful recording, the drums are so far the best i heard from my limited vinyl collection and of course the way he sang that song "STIMELA" was so filled with emotions... Got touched by him... Vinyls are fun but very poisonous so will try to avoid going to Adephi that frequently till i have financially recovered... hehe...

Short Audiophile Experience (Just 2 months!) and my rack arrived (finally!)...

Wooo... after months of listening... I finally can tell whats good and whats bad within a system...
Well was kinda suan by my mentor, telling me that the MD staff was hinting me that i shud in fact just get the 1k amplifier (in short amp) rather than my current amp because someone traded in my current amp for this 1k amp... I was kinda affected did i really overspend on something that is totally not worth it!?
Hmmm... todae i finally had the chance to listen to the 1k amplifier which MD was selling (well no offense..) while i was there to check out my rack (yesh! finally it had arrived, but lets get back to the amp topic first...) and finally i could tell that well my system was a whole lot better confidently hahaha... Well it was worth it, i told myself (phew... )
Sitting down, initial thoughts the music sounded pleasing... but after listening for a while i could tell that the resolution coming from that amplifier was kinda blur, i could roughly hear where the intruments were coming from but the sound was smudge (yeah like ink...) Oh Yeah! My listening had improved and i am really happy with it hehe...
Yah one thing was that the guy traded in the current amp i was having was that the 1k amp was a better match for that that pair of speakers he bought which was on display but still the resolution for tat 1k amp was not that good (ya sad to say)...
Anyway... took half a day off to check out my rack at MD, CF was so stressful haha, too much things to clear after a rather "long vacation", well he was off to KL for a seminar and some training sessions for a week. My rack had finally arrived! The one and a half month wait was worth it... So nicely stained, which blends kinda well with my speakers...
As CF opened up the box... whoa could smell the stain haha... he was kinda stressed up because the owner (which is me) was standing beside him setting up the rack, the assembly was a bit tough, as a mistake would have the chrome metal bar at the side scratched! Asked me to take a walk outside which i didn't haha... Anyway everything was fitted nicely... :)
Besides the rack, i had also went down to secure a deal on the TT and lots of LPs... YEAH! I HAD FINALLY JOINED THE DARK SIDE!!! haha... Shessshhh... he wanted me to bring back the LPs but the player would come only next tues! What a torture!... Can see but cannot play... Took a free ride home with the delivery man, was kinda worried the vehicle bumping would spoil my rack... but it reached my place safely and i helped the delivery man carry my rack up to my place...
Straight away i was into action, took out all the cables from the amp and speakers and try to shift the current console outta my room... Within 1 hour i managed to move the console out and fix up the echo busters absorbers behind the speakers (acoustic products... ) Had dinner at aunt's place and came back to shift my amp and cd player to their new "house"...
Sheesshhh getting abit lorso... anyway everything is in place liao will take a photo soon hehe... Happiness was shortlived as i found out my computer's mobo is dead... grr... gotta spend some moni to get it replaced... grr...

Sat n Sun...

Went for driving in the movies after late nite movie on friday... Kung Fu Panda, treat from my auntie! Great animation, i must say...

In the afternoon travelled to Adephi again and enquire about the DPS turntable, hmmm.. i still needa save up... Think it will next year in Dec then i can get that set up... Firstly, saw an ang mo who came into JR's shop and get his "toy". Was trying to figure out what it was as he opened up the box, wooo.... Da Vinci Labs label! Then inside holds the most expensive tonearm (which i think it is for my limited knowledge in hifi) sold by JR, the Grandezza Grand Reference tone arm, drool... Saw 3-4 pieces of Jan Allaerts Cartridge which was on display and all sold out! That 4 piece took 15 months of waiting, morale of the story, even you got the moni, you might not get the stock instantly in this hifi world... erm... maybe another morale... good things must wait... more appropriate...
Next dropped by Music by Design and was told that my rack might be postpone for 1 - 2 weeks for staining, special order (see see another wait!!! like my hifi in my room i waited for 1 and half months and the amp which i ordered have not arrived till now... )! C.F (boss of music by design) told me, my bulk orders are dependant on yours now hehe...

Anyway wandered into their audition room, was looking at their magnificient setup of gems!... Burmester amplifier, monoblock and speakers (not sure about the price of this combi) with continuum turntables where the higher end one costs about 150k and the lower end model cost 80k, glurp... Well surely i could not afford these turntables but anyway C.F was generous enuff to offer me an audition on this setup, nice of him...
What he played for me was the 80k turntable setup with the burmester equipment :)... Some Jazz music initially played (of course they are great! :) ) and followed by Nora Jones LP, Don't Know Why... My impression on this song changed! I used to own the cd and it sounded so dull (guessed i played it on pc) and i would fall a sleep while listening to it... Listening to this song on the LP sounded so different and of course with this system, it was as though Nora was right in front of me, singing just for me...

Was about to go off and i mentioned to C.F, hmmm do you have LP for jazz at the pawnshop which i listened to on cd... Oh yes, so you are familiar with this, ok i will play you a couple of songs... Limehouse Blues was the song played, with my eyes close, i could feel as though the whole group of musicians were playing their instruments right in front of me... Everything sounded so right and good *cries*, the soundstage and dynamics... After that song, i had another appointment with old army friends and i left reluctantly because i wanted to listen to the better pieces in that LP... While C.F was keeping that LP, so Gene start saving up! I replied i will look for u once i strike TOTO *will be praying hard on this haha!*
Went to meet up with Kwen and Chris for dinner and went cheonging with them... Was at NaNa for 2 mugs of tiger beer before heading down to Ministry of Sound... Luckily it was free entry phew... That place was deafening... would preferred my own room's hifi, sounded so much better... Anywya had a Cranberry Vodka drink before telling them i am heading home first... Not suited for cheong environment, find it quite erm... not my cup of tea... Went home with my head spinning as i rushed to catch the last bus home...
Sun morningz... ate ba zhang and went for driving again suffered from hangover (correct term?)... Came back in the afternoon and listen to my cd on jazz at the pawnshop... Making a comparison with what i heard from C.F system... music from my system is still enjoyable but lacks dynamics compared to LP, e.g. the drums sounded like "cut off" sigh... Some details could not be heard maybe its my system or maybe its the source... Cd certainly sounded much cleaner, no pop pop sounds from the dust collected on the LP... Well LP still sounded better... Ok! I wan i wan! that itz...
Hopefully the acoustic treatment and the rack i am getting will bring my current system performance up another level.... Waiting..... impatiently (hehe)...

Hifi...

Hmmm... all outta of a sudden... i am in love with hifi stuffs... If you ever step into this hobby, u will understand, the hi end stuffs produced by the manufacturers are so well done and their quality of the finish are really good... Hmm... the sad thing about this is that when u sell second hand you can't really fetch a good price for certain items... Anyway why would u wanna sell away something good...
Anyway about 3 weeks ago, my colleague Francis (yeah the guy who poisoned me ) invited me to his place for a listening session... Woke up early that morning and took a train to Seng Kang! Friends who knew me will be wondering, why the usually "nuah" Gene sekali become so "Ku Lat"??
Anyway reached his place, well his set up is basically the same as mine, we used the same amplifier, Lavardin IT. He had got something different, a turntable something which plays music so much better than a cd player... Finally, i got the chance to listen to music played by turntables!!~~~ He then play some guitar vinyl records, the first was title: Friday night at San Francisco, forgotten whats the track but it sounded so nice, so real and so much better than CD... Followed by L.A Four guitar tracks, rock music from Queen and the list goes on...
Whao i was impressed with what Vinyl Records or Turntable could do and of course i am poisoned again... Erm meaning i will get a turntable in the new future... If you are really into listening music it will be a waste if you dun go into Vinyl...
My dream setup will be a DPS TT, Nobile tonearm and may be an audiotechnica cartridge... ok.. dream onz...

休龍軒 Part 3 of ???

Okie! This shud be "almost" the end to my room's renovation... Finally i can "nuah" in it at night when i reached home after a hard day work...
A new look under lighting during day time, with my new toys and new painting which i did it during labour day's holiday from 1pm till almost 10pm!!!...
Another look.... Another view taken from the toilet...~ The new clock i bought from Molecule on Mama's day with my cousin, amazing clock, the more i looked at it the more i love it keke.
Below is an introduction to my hifi setup which i had waited for 2 months for it to arrive...
Firstly, Lavardin IT, integrated amp which plays really lively and dynamic music...
Secondly, Vimark, the cd player, which plays the cd haha simple...
Thirdly, Living Voice, my speakers in Walnut colours, luckily it blends well with the purple wall colour... Oh btw this is the left hand side speaker.... Ok, right hand side speaker...
My old PS2, still functioning i think, will get a PS3 in the future for blue ray movies...

My HTPC! Processor: C2D 8400, Matx Mobo: Asus P5E-V G35 HDMI, Rams: 2GB of Crucial DDR2 PC6400/800, Silverstone Casing, Logitech Keyboard and mouse... using some laoya Creative speakers for this HTPC setup (shown in the first pic)...

Okie, entertainment wise is enuff i guess haha... So whats next??

Hopefully, i can get a carpet (currently fighting with mama, haha), new curtains , a painting for acoustic treatment purposes, a table lamp (lighted with LEDs) and maybe new lighting... hehe~~

休龍軒 Part 2 of ???

Okie Part 2... Some pics of the cabinet i designed (idea stolen from ikea though keke)... Not bad to become an engineer though, can be an interior designer too though the standard might be a bit off???

Anyway the pics of my completed cabinet... with all doors closed.

Another look... nice job from from the carpenters, erm nice pay too...

Tada! With the larger portion doors opened...

Closer look at the bottom section... Hmm... a drawer that can be locked... i can stored my secret stuff inside...
Top! Spacious can put in alot of things keke...

Hmm... another section on the right opened for putting my books...

Okie, finally put in a bit of my clothings in... can't believe i got so much clothings... diaoz...

Okie not to forget another view of my room... wha lau so much things! un-setup pc, blah blah blah...

Will have 1 or 2 more updates once my room is setup with my hi fi system keke.. Credits to my parents for helping me to clean up... gotta give them a treat man...

Wha Sei!

Hmmm...! Its almost 4 in the morning and i am still up waking for my hair to be dry before heading off to bed... I was quite hardworking for the whole friday as i cant play soccer on friday... Working last min designs, integrating systems for the whole day before i headed to school to do my presentation...
Ok as usual not very "zai" doing presentation as i dun noe wat i am tokking about... At least i am not using paper and reading from the sheet... Anyway 5-6 mins on stage is like a few years... Anyway finished my presentation and my colleague came driving to NUS and picked me up for a cheese prata for dinner before heading back to office for work...
Managed to secure 2 120++ kg system on the container without getting anyone hurt (because visibility is quite bad as it is quite dark) and the rest of it is my show... fixing on the cooling equipment ducting and fans... Everything is finally completed at 2am and we went west coast Mcdonalds for supper before heading home to zzzzz.... Tiring day......

Mixed feelings...

Todae i found out something... I found out someone whom i loved dearly once is with another person. Hmmm, all i get is mixed feelings though this matter had passed for sometime... but still i feel a bit sour, human's nature? or is it just the plain selfish old me? Hatred? well i dun hate her anymore... Under such circumstances, normal ppl will tell me... be generous and wish her all the best...
Ok... i will just say, all the best to you...

Me...

I found myself strange... Just on one matter i can think so much about it... Why can't i take 1 for a 1 but 1 for a 2 or even 3??? Is it due to lack of self confidence? Or am i too free?? I dun think i am too free... i think i have too much brain cells to kill...

Sunday, March 02, 2008

Nice day i guess...

Yeah wat a day, i went back to company as early as 7am just to help setup the system for testing (meaning i woke up as early as 6.00 am on a saturday morning...) yeah wat the fishy... Anyway, it was raining and i went to zoo in the late morning meeting with the rest of the volunteers...
We went for the asian elephant show which some of us had a free bath from the elephants... heng i managed to "siam"... Went for lunch, watch some feeding session on some of the animals e.g. lions, hippo and etc... Then some animal performace by penguins and sea lion...
After which we returned to Guilly and waited for the trainees to be picked up by their parents. Went minds cafe for some exciting games and had a good time before proceeding for our dinner...
Next was birthday celebration for andy and px at esplanade. An ice cream cake was bought and we waited for the cake to melt before it could be sliced into pieces for us to consume...
Anyway was chit chatting with the rest of the guys (got gals also) and found out somethings about me... I talked too much crap?! Okie because of that the gals mentioned that their impression of me is that i am not serious and someone who could not be rely on? *stunz* :~( okie truth hurts la...
Ok, first impression is always important, but it would take one's willingness/interest, situation (the right time to communicate?) and of course time to find out more about the "REAL" you... (okie i know lots aren't interested in me... i know...)
Anyway... i am a straight forward person which my bro kinda agrees with me (of course la he knows me about 11-12 years liao)... He mentioned to me before, those who knows you will think that you are funny... But those who dun will think that you are just a clown due to the lack of maturity shown in my conversation... Ah! Todae the truth had surfaced, what he mentioned was true... Maybe its time for a change of image... to keep quiet and let my brain think first (stop thinking about craps...) before i speak with my mouth and let the little bit of maturity within me shows....

New Year, Hope its a good year ahead...

Sigh... i think this year have not started out well... Its only the 2nd week to the new year and lots of ppl have passed away or hospitalised... colleague and friend's relatives... Hope that this rat year will improve...
Anyway saturday was fun, a gathering with the rest of my friends @ xl's place... got free food from tf who had just got promoted (kung xi kung xi and kam siah)... Had some "drinks" too keke... and of course gambling session... Ban Lat, no win no lose... my capital was 2.1o and i finished the game with 2.10... Was introduced to a scary game called "in between", after losing 2.60 i decided to quit the game... Because i feel that i am starting to get greedy as u see the money in the "pool" increase and i know that i will end up losing more so i decided to "siam"!
Anyway, its even more fun to watch others play while i act as the "devil" psychoing ppl to increase their bet :p... This resulted in px who came into the game for less than 5 mins to lose 2 dollars in her 2nd round keke, which i felt very guilty la and ended up keeping myself quiet and away from the "gambling area" watching tv till its time for us to leave...

I was reminded todae how fortunate i am that I had forgotten about how to appreciate what i have...

Upgrading PC...

Hmmm... i am starting to crave for new PC components... Looking to sell away my well clocked Q6600 and DFI mobo for about 700 - 750 bucks and get a new quadie as an X38/48 mobo... 2 seagate 500GB 32mb cache hdd @ 207 each for my network storage... May be a new ati graphics 3870....
Wha.... Dun dare to think about the total cost...

Understanding...

I wished i could be more understanding... Can i?

Saturday, January 19, 2008

Studying...

Sigh studying! Was at the lecture yesterday and lessons are indeed boring... After an hour of class the lecturer calls for a break of 20 mins, i made good use of the time by doozing off... After class, tried walking to the bus stop and i lost my way, gotta call TS for help... Very malu...

Sunday, January 13, 2008

Weekend...

Hmmm... weekend is great... but friday wasn't too good... We played soccer for about 1 hour plus and rain started pouring... shhessshhh... Okie i kinda enjoyed myself shooting from all sorta funnie position, whacking lots of backside haha... Anyway met TS, JQ and Denny for beer after that... I can't believe each of us finished 1 litre within 45 mins... terrible drinkers...
Sat is also full of action, i just arrived at Guilly and the television start to flash on mobilisation... after checking for about half an hour, my unit was not recalled... phew... We went had chicken rice somewhere in near bugis, after that 5 of us went for board games... I think taboo was cool... despite me and ts fighting 3 other person but we only lose by about 10 pts haha... not too bad... Next was Jenga, truth or dare... i went for a black tile and was asked to tell a truth on whats the worst lie i ever told.... I answered: " I am a woman "... whahaha~ sounds fun... Played some reaction games, my fingers nails too sharp lah... those who kena poke sorry... i will have my nails cut soon....
Todae, pure sleeping throughout the whole day la... Went for a bit of soccer action (asked by thomas)... initially was waiting for the 2 other teams to finish... ball got stuck on the tree for more than 15mins... My patience running low because i was thinking darn dun tell me i dun get to play todae haha... Once our team went in, we won 5 games in a row... with me scoring in 90% of the game... I just love to be lethal in front of goal, showing no mercy! ho ho ho... Haiz but now friday game i can't join anymore grrr... as i had got classes on friday nite... i think i can only maintain my fitness by going for a run now and then... be ready for the futsal league...

Speech...

I was thinking i am quite good in talking most of the times... Yesh, i am quite good with my jokes, talking nonsence, making people laugh letting them forgetting their worries... Todae or rather someone struck me that i cannot really give good advices...
I try to encourage what others are doing and that everything is going to be ok, but infact i kinda give them the wrong impression making them doubtful, i am sorry i dun mean it that way... hope i learn through my mistakes...
My new quote! Just comes in handy....
"我是個人, 原諒我會犯錯, 想多做, 但卻往往會犯錯, 想什麼都不做, 卻偏偏是大錯特錯..."

Holiday in HK...

Been to HK during the first week of 2008... Nice way to celebrate the new year... Most importantly to visit my Bro in HK and glad to have meet my future Sis in law too... She is pretty~... :)
I am quite independent in this trip, walking alone on the unfamiliar streets in HK by myself most of the time... Thankful that Bro, took alot of time to accompany to shop around with me after his work and despite he is busy preparing for his wedding...
First day, was nice i arrived in HK about 11 am and i took a bus to Tung Chung MTR station and from Tung Chung i meet up with my Bro at Central (Zhung Huan) MTR, IFC where we have lunch and i accompany him for job visits. We meet up with Sis in law after that and we went for KTV session... Hmmm i think KTV session with him is really enjoyable because we have lots of common songs to sing... As you would have expected it 90% Eason Chan song haha!...
Day 2, went to Mong Kok to search for my lense, was considering this 2 piece of gem, nikon 18-200 and tokina 12-24... Finally got the tokina as i believe a wide angle lens is more useful (cheaper of course!)... went back to central and started playing with the lense but found out that there was a small defect on the metal barrel, head back to have it exchange... Meet Bro for dinner and end of the day...
3rd Day, lunch with Bro, then went up to the Peak for some shooting... Guess who i saw? Alan Tam! He was just behind me... He is on the Peak for some promotion on his latest album... Went shooting and found out that my camera sensor is in a very dirty condition... lots of dust... Lost motivation to shoot in this trip... At nite, its food again... Went to Causeway bay for some "La Za Min" known as Che Zai Min also... Nice stuff...
Day4, Sat, morning i met another star, Ah Bee... After that Bro and i went shopping for my family's present... Bought a wallet for mumy, auntie and some accessories for my sis... Cant find anything for Dad, at one point i was thinking of giving up what to buy him... eventually got him a key pouch the next day... Sunday i was all alone, but i bought a lot of hk biscuits for friends and colleagues keke...
Monday morning i flew back and gotta get ready to start work tomolo... darnz... my holiday is coming to an end... :'(
Hmm... Enjoyable trip spend lots of money haha... I just realised that school is just next week... I needa prepare for it...

New Year 2008...!

So its a new year! Year 2008... New Year Eve, we had self made popiah at my auntie's house... First time rolling the popiah myself... As usual, i always show that i can do a better job then the rest of the ppl haha! Of course lah i never "lao kui"! Asthetically the popiah i made looks good (at least got 9/10 bah!) but the taste wise is a bit duh... lack of ingredients lah.. Geezz never bring camera, so cannot show how good it was...
Anyway after dinner, we had a few games of bowling at safra mount faber... My normal score is at least 100++ yesterday was so pathetic! First 2 games and i hardly score above 80+!? I believed it was the ball fault but no one believed... sigh... Finally got the ball i am comfortable with and i score above 100 for the first time... (See its the bola problem!)
Came back home started mahjong session and i lost 1o bucks :( Nice get together session with my family... Hope we can have that more oftenly...
